How to Combine Pocket Pages and Layouts in Scrapbooking

Welcome back crafty friends! I am back to share another double page spread inside of my Me Album, that is similar to the last spread I created. I loved the mix of a pocket page along with a layout, so I recreated the look for today’s project share, to work on the back of my last spread. Check it out here.

I have been enjoying documenting in this album, and I find that the size is very manageable to create scrapbook layouts, in full Letter size along with some trimmed pocket pages. I am still exploring and today I am mirroring the same duo: pocket page and layout spread.

For this layout spread I created a layout using a simple strategy to create a focus background on my base page: stitching strips of paper. I am continuing to use the same collection to keep the pops of colors cohesive throughout the book.

I have continued with the same Shimelle collection “Reasons to Smile” and also used my sewing machine to create extra dimension and interest on my Letter Sized Layout.

The burst of colors have inspired me to keep using this beautiful collection. I truly enjoyed using my scraps and thumbing through all of the elements, stickers, and phrases that helped me encompass my vision: a sweet spread to document my big feelings about our Easter together.

By the way, can we admire how cute the photos are?? I brought my Disneyland bubble makers to create a fun element to the photos, so fun! I encourage you to get creative when taking your own photographs. A blanket, a bubble maker, and a tripod made this happen for me.

For my besties, I have documented and shared the process video on my Youtube Channel which you can watch below! I share all the details, you’re welcome….

I’d love to know if you’ve ever created a matching spread with a pocket and layout duo???

It’s so fun to push our creativity to try new formats, and I have loved working these two spreads back to back. I can’t wait to make more layouts in this Album, so follow along to stay inspired.

Thanks for being here today. I hope you are feeling inspired to create something that makes you happy.
