Hi friends, I am sharing another installment to my Throwback Thursday Stories today. I am taking it way back to 2022. This was when I created the very last layout before I quit scrapbooking.
At the time I was living in the trenches of life and scrapbooking had to be put aside. I remember creating this layout and feeling so detached from my creativity. I decided after making this layout that I simply couldn’t keep going.
Today I am looking back at the layout. I am sharing a process video. This is a way to reignite the love for this craft in my heart.

I am using it as a starting point to return to the craft that I love most: scrapbooking.
For the layout I used the Story Line and Care Free collections by Heidi Swapp.
I look back at this layout and the process. It brings me back to the creative side that I have long neglected. My true creative self.
I realize now that I have not lost the “touch.” I simply was not in the right place physically and emotionally. This prevented my creative light from shining.

As I worked on the process video I was brought back to the fun elements that made scrapbooking so fun for me: my choice of images, the spritz of glittery shimmers, the thrill of smooshing inks on my page, the layers and textures, the unexpected flow of adding stickers to my page….
IT’S ALL MAGIC.

I’ve realized that it’s not about making something perfect. It’s about the sense of escaping reality to create something that fills my soul with JOY.
I would love for you to enjoy the long-awaited process video. I hope it inspires you to create today.
Before I sign off I want to remind myself and all of you that creativity doesn’t come with an agenda. It’s a free flowing sense of being that simply BECOMES as you allow it. So get out there, get crafty, and be your truest creative self.
