Fun and Feminine Pocket Page Scrapbook Tips

Welcome back crafty friends! I’m excited to be back to share another layout inside of my ME ALBUM. This time, I’m pushing myself out of my comfort zone by working inside a pocket page.

Heres a look at the latest double page spread I created:

I went with what I love. I created a page like a classic scrapbook layout. Then I created a pocket page to really stretch my creativity.

For the images I selected, I used a few favorite affirmations and selfie. I found these online and printed them with my home printer. I used the photographs for self-affirmation. They provided encouragement to myself in the journey I am presently experiencing.

I am continuing to use the Reasons to Smile collection by Shimelle. It has a lot of fun pink colors. The elements are super cute and flow with the theme of these layouts.

The pocket page I used was originally a 12×12 layout with 9 4×4 pockets. I trimmed it down to have 6 pockets. This alteration made it fit into my 8 1/2×11 album.

This pocket page was so much fun to make. I’m glad I took on the challenge to create inside pockets. I think I still need a little more exposure and practice to feel comfortable. But this was a great start!

I added some confetti to two of the pockets as a fun element. This creates a fun, feminine look. It adds an unexpected touch that gives some interest and fun to the overall pocket page. It relieved the pressure of filling each pocket with photos or journaling. I embraced this freedom and ran with it!

I’d love to hear your feedback on what you do to create inside pocket pages! Do you have tips and tricks? Or do you go with the flow? Leave a comment with your best ideas!

And of course, I have recorded the process for this layout. I have shared it on my YouTube channel, which I’d love to have you subscribe!

If you like what you see, feel free to watch the process video below!

Thanks for stopping by today, crafty friends! I will be back very soon to share more layouts inside of my ME ALBUM!
