Hi there! I took a break of sorts last week but I am excited to share some fun projects I made for the Emma’s Paperie shop for the month of May.

As always, we had four fun Inspiration points for each one.
We always have a Color Inspiration Project, a sketch, a company product spotlight, and then one random chosen challenge this month being Fussy Cutting (my fave!).
May Color Inspiration Layout
We had a fabulous image to inspire our creativity this month, here it is.

It. Is. Gorgeous!
I love all the soft neutral colors and all the natural elements you see everywhere, the black and white, the soft beige and blush….
All in all, I was obsessed and I made THIS:

For this layout I used a mix of the Crate Paper Sunny Days and All Heart collections. I did tons of layering and paper tearing to add all that 3D chunky goodness to an already chunky mama in that photo 😂.
Okay, okay, I digress. BUT I was 37 weeks so you know, obviously… chunky.
To be honest, I don’t even remember if I’ve already scrapped this exact photo, but it’s another addition to my pregnancy album.
The soft color of the photograph also went really well with the color inspiration, which is the main reason why I chose it.
Here are some closeups:

May Sketch Layout
This month’s sketch was chosen by one of the lovely ladies from our design team and it was quite a fun one to work with:

To be honest, I was a little intimidated by it because of all the details on it. However, when it came to it I had a blast creating this layout:

I was feeling the blues found in the Crate Paper Sunny Days collection and I created a blue monochromatic page.
I added a beach photo to match my feels.

May Fussy Cutting Challenge
Like I mentioned earlier, there’s always one random scrappy challenge for the month and this month it was all about fussy cutting.
All that means is cutting the elements off a page and use them on your page. You can Fussy cut flowers, icons, words, etc.
For this particular layout I used, can you guess??
Yep! More Crate Paper Sunny Days!
I fussy cut the awesome paper that had all the circles on it and the one with all the fun beach icons to create this layout:

This he was tons of fun to work on. It was super easy to cut the circles.
I loved incorporating tiny stickers all throughout and even more fussy cut beach balls.
I’ve got tons of closeups for this layout, hope you enjoy…

You guys have to get your hands on this collection. I’ve loved using it with all of my summer memories.
May Company Spotlight – Simple Stories
This month we focused on playing with the amazing Simple Stories!
You NEED to check out this company if you haven’t done so yet. They have about a million (….maybe less) collections that you are sure to find one, or two, or ten (!), that will fancy your crafty!
So, I decided to use up what I already had in my stash. I did this on purpose because I have hoarded one of my favorite SS collections and I normally bring it out when there’s a spotlight.
Here is my layout:

The collection I used was the I Am 2 Collection.
This collection is all for you and who you are. It is filled with quotes, adjectives that describe you and definitely empowering.
Which is why I brought it out to capture the first few moments captured of my second pregnancy at 8 weeks.
Here are some closeups:

Luckily, there’s still plenty of this collection in the shop for you to play with, too!
Well, friends that’s it for my May Emma’s Paperie projects!
I hope you are feeling inspired to go create something beautiful with your crafty supplies.
If you have any questions and comments, I’d love to hear them! Leave me a comment below.
