I have reached a milestone this month here on my Blog! I have been blogging on All The Neffyness for 4 years!

I can’t believe this much time has passed already. I still remember writing my very first blog post on a broken Iphone 6 on WIFI, people! Lol. I registered and started up that little blog with the goal of actually STICKING IT OUT.

I had just had my son in mid February and had taken on the job of stay-at-home mom. Only my hubby and I didn’t have an actual home. We were staying with family and the stress level was high, to say the least.

I had started watching YouTube videos obsessively, especially while I was on maternity leave the few weeks before the birth. I wanted to try working on 12×12 layouts so bad! I just didn’t have the space and all of my supplies were in storage.

Eventually, I decided to buy myself a Heidi Swapp Memory Planner and I scrapped the first few months of my son’s life in there.

Making and scrapping became my place of relaxation and self-care time. My hubby would have to sleep early because he’d get up at 5am for work, so I would stay up after he’d go to bed and lay out my stuff on a TV tray and would have a ball!

I had one little basket of supplies and my Memory Planner.

I couldn’t get my hands off of it for a few months. I would stay up scrapping in it and my trips to Walgreens for prints were the most fun times of my life lol.

I wanted to share all of this with someone who would get me!

I started up my Crafty Instagram and the rest is history…

I found the most amazing online community of scrapbookers who loved making and sharing just like me. I can say that I started off at the bottom. Began to learn names of companies and scrappers as I went. It’s been fun to make amazing scrappy friends from all around the world! I have met friends in my own town (!), Spain, US, China, Australia, it’s amazing!

I have been enjoying sharing some of my own work and have always hoped that I share how fun it can be to scrap and find the time to do it.

I have been asked before, wow, how do you find the time to do it?

I was taken a little aback at the question. I hoped I didn’t seem like this takes over my life and I don’t have a life. But the truth is, it’s a hobby which I love. It’s a part of my life.

My husband is the most supportive partner who understands how much I love it. So having that space in the middle of our “space” is not a disruption. In fact, he is my first supporter. I always go to him with my finished products and he makes comments on how good it is, or if he think I should add a little more! I’m serious.

I am happy to have stuck it out this long, and I really don’t have plans to stop any time soon. I’m actually shocked that 4 years have passed. That’s an accomplishment in itself!

It’s been four years of memories documented, and 4 years of a growing love for Paper crafting. Yep, I guess I’m a big paper nerd. But I love it and I will continue to make and share!

Eventually, we found a little home for our family and I found the perfect little corner to embrace this craft and hobby.
